FAQ's

Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance. I am an out-of-network provider and will work with you to submit necessary forms to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance provider before scheduling a consultation to find out if you have out-of-network benefits for mental health services.  If you do have benefits, ask you insurance company if you have a deductible  before your coverage starts; ask what the deductible is and and what amount you will have to pay out of pocket before your policy starts to reimburse you. Additionally, ask for the specific total amount your plan will reimburse you.

How long are sessions?

Individual therapy sessions are generally 50 minutes and couples and group sessions are 75 minutes.

What are your fees?

I charge $200-350 for individual therapy and $75 per session for group therapy. Cost for trainings, workshops, coaching, and curriculum development offerings depend on multiple factors including scope, size of group, length of training, and degree of customization.

Do you offer sliding scale fees?

I am committed to providing accessible care and as such, I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots for both individual and group therapy. Please contact me if you would like additional information and I will let you know if I have current availability for these slots. If I do not have any availability, I encourage you to look into Open Path Collective for clinicians who provide care at a range of rates.

What are your payment and cancellation policies?

I accept credit card payment via my secure client portal.

  • I require 24 hour advance notice for cancellations. Any appointments canceled with less than 24 hour notice will incur the full session fee.

  • Full payment for group cycles are due before the start of the  group.

  • A minimum of 25% deposit is required to hold training/workshop dates

How often would I need to attend? How long does therapy last?

Receiving therapeutic services is a unique experience for everyone. I offer weekly therapy and groups sessions. Length of therapy depends on multiple factors, a primary one being your needs. I am comfortable with directly discussing length of therapy with each individual.

Are all of your services virtual?

Yes, at this time all of my therapy and training services are virtual to allow for greater flexibility and access. All of my therapy services are provided via secure telehealth video visits. The only exception is outdoor walking therapy for those who are willing to walk in a park in upper Manhattan, on the west side.

Do you have hesitations about telehealth? That is completely understandable, many people wonder if they will be able to connect to their therapist via an online visit. Yet, studies and personal experience have shown that therapy online can be just as effective as in person sessions. And there are many benefits to virtual therapy; no commute time, engaging from a space that might be more comfortable for you, and easier to fit into your schedule.

What can I expect when I contact you?

We will set up a free, 15-minute phone consultation. During the consultation, we will further assess your needs and determine whether or not we are a good fit to work together. If you would like to schedule an initial appointment, we can do so following this brief consultation.
