Mayowa Obasaju, PhD (she/her), is the owner of Connected Roots Counseling and Consulting. Connected Roots creates space for liberation psychology-oriented individual and group therapy, as well as anti-oppressive, liberation-, trauma-, and healing-informed trainings, workshops, and coaching. Connected Roots focuses on co-creating healing and liberation spaces for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) women, femmes, and gender expansive folks who are on their journeys of fertility, pregnancy, postpartum mental health difficulties, matrescence, and/or parenting, as well as for those experiencing oppression-related trauma, grief, and loss.
